CCB. Garagem Sul [Architecture Exhibitions]
From today until 18 september 2016, the exhibition "Eduardo Souto de Moura: Continuity", curated by André Campos and Sergio Koch, will be held at CCB - Garagem Sul.
The exhibition features scale models and a series of eight original videos from the director Takashi Sugimoto and explores the symbolism and analogies in the works of Souto de Moura. Also as part of the exhibition, a facility - designed by Araujo Custodio architects - will be installed at the CCB square to welcome visitors who wish to enjoy the space.
The closing conference of the exhibition will be delivered by architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, on Monday, 12th September 2016, at 19:00 at the CCB Auditorium.
Corticeira Amorim, through its subsidiary Amorim Cork Insulation, is the main sponsor of the exhibition, sending to this initiative more than 2200 expanded insulation cork boards, a 100% natural material. In total, there are 330 m3 of cork being used, in different sizes, a material with a long tradition of use in architecture. Cork was applied not only on the interior exhibition space but also in the square set up outside the Belém Cultural Centre.
